Communication is Key
I spent the day today with a very good friend of mine, who also happens to be a Realtor in another jurisdiction.  We had a great day as I rode around with him visiting new listings and showing houses to a couple buyers.
As I listened, and learned, and as he included me in some conversations it occurred to me "Are we communicating with our clients on a level that they truly understand?" Or, do we need to adjust our communication style so the buyer understands what they need to do.
We had just come out of a house and she … (6 comments)

National Do a Grouch a Favor Day
February 16, 2020
One of my goals in life is to be the change I want to see in the world, one smile or one good deed at a time.  Tomorrow is another opportunity to make good on that goal.
So, let's make someone's day!!
Here are a few ideas:
Pay for the order next in line in the drive through
Leave a gift card under the wiper of a random person's car in the parking lot
Help a neighbor
We all know a grumpy person, do something nice for them
Give a coffee to a homeless person (we have an homeless person … (6 comments)

First things first, you have to figure out whether it's a case of the home owner can't or won't.  There are some great charitable groups like "Rebuilding Baltimore" and other similar organizations that help home owners in need take care of delayed maintenance issues.
Your neighbor may want to fix up their home but may lack the tools, the means, the … (6 comments)

Just Sold - Patterson Park Home, Baltimore, MD
My buyer just bought his first house!!
His goal was to buy a home in an up and coming neighborhood where the value would continue to improve and was desirable as a rental home.  He will live there for 2 years and rent 2 bedrooms out.  The 2 bedrooms will pay  his entire mortgage.
In a couple years he'll move out, rent the whole house out, for more than his monthly mortgage payment, and use the equity that he has built to put a down payment on another house and he'll do the whole thing over … (2 comments)
