Welcome Back UWSP Students 2017-18 Old Main, Like a bit of Harvard in Wisconsin
Old main is the oldest building on campus and always reminds me of our roots dating back nearly 120 years to when Stevens Point was selected as a Normal school or teaching college.
Old main reminds me of the Harvard campus with old buildings that are hard to photograph due to a plentitude of large dense trees.
These trees came in handy 30+ years ago when I had Dendrology class at UWSP and many of the trees that we had to identify from across the nation were … (6 comments)

Welcome Back UWSP Students to the 2017-18 School Year
Welcome back to the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point, school starts this week and the town is buzzing with activity. I have seen several groups heading down to Belts for a welcome ice cream break with old and new friends, and today many houses had yard parties as people gathered to reacquaint with old friends and meet a few more before the busy life of classes begins.
For those who do not have housing secured, we have a few more homes available we just finished cleaning and repairs on. And if anyone needs … (3 comments)

Possibly the largest building on campus and the home of UWSP's world renowned Paper Science Lab.
Paper Science students nearly live here and other Natural Resource spend a fair amount of time here during their first 2 years of school.

Can I Make Payments on the Deposit?
I don’t like having vacancies at this time of year but sometimes it happens that way so we have been getting a few homes ready this past month and interviewing potential tenants. Unfortunately this time of year we have a lot less candidates than we have in the summer and many of them are far less solid candidates than those we see in the summer as well.
After painstakingly checking all of the references and backgrounds of our best candidates for two homes, we offered them the homes.

Duplexes with zoning allowing up to 2 unrelated people per unit, but if you rent both units of the duplex then the city will allow a large group of 4 to live there.

No visit to Point is complete without sharing some fun at Belts, as long as the snow is not too deep.
Belts is the place to enjoy a huge ice cream and enjoy some time with friends and family.
So take an afternoon off before classes get to busy and enjoy a hike and a huge cone or other tasty treat.

Thank you for your interest in our home on Ellis St.
We do not pay our tenants utilities for several reasons.
First, landlords who do pay their tenants utilities need to make up for this wasted expense by raising the rent to a rate that is higher than the rent plus anticipated utilities.
