A recent article in a rural area of Colorado tells a story. This area aspired to become the next "Jackson Hole", times were "booming", in prior years, however, 2008 painted a different picture. The local paper reported that the number of real estate transactions had declined in 2008 as compared to the prior year. Not news exactly, as many areas have the same report. However the Tribune went on to report overall sales had dropped 21 percent from last year. And compared to the real estate boom of 2005, sales were off 40 percent overall. Okay, I can't stand it any longer, I may be just a Farm and Ranch Realtor®, but I'm also a pilot and successful business owner since 1977 and naturally, in this time frame, have the years on me to make this statement; We are being treated as though we have NO brain, by this President and his cabinet. 2008 Rural Ramblin's Real Estate: So, you think this new listing possibility is vacant........NOT. In 08 we went on a pre-listing for a bank and found a tenant. We didn't get to meet the rest of the family, but the sounds coming from the upstairs could mean there was some remodeling or Holiday decorating in process.
