easter: Cooler temps didn't dampen turn out for Canyon Creek Easter Egg Hunt - 03/25/13 05:14 AM

The temperatures were cooler and there was a threat of some rain sprinkles but that did not dampen the spirits of the kids in Canyon Creek! They came out in droves to fill their baskets with Easter eggs and have their photo op with the Easter Bunny!
 
Kudos to Chitra Iyerfor her efforts in another successful Easter Egg Hunt in Canyon Creek! She rounded up good helpers who live in the community and attend Westwood HS to help keep the kids positioned for their times (according to ages) to take off and gather their eggs!

When?    Saturday morning at 10 am sharp on March 23, 2013
Where?  Trailhead Park off Hwy 620 in Canyon Creek Subdivision
The annual Canyon Creek Easter Egg Hunt will be led this year by Chitra Iyer and her band of volunteers. They are in need of thousands of plastic eggs with something inside (no candy) to spread over the park area.  If you’re bringing children please help out and plan on donating a dozen eggs per child..we want plenty for everyone participating!

Have you Heard?  The Easter Bunny will be in NW Austin at Trail Head Park in Canyon Creek!When:  Saturday morning at 10am sharp on March 31st.The annual Canyon Creek Easter Egg Hunt lead by Teryl Booth and her band of volunteers will have thousands of eggs spread over the park area.  There are three groups so kiddies bring your Easter baskets and be ready to listen for when you are free to make a run to gather those eggs. NW Austin ~ Canyon Creek Easter Egg Hunt 2011What perfect weather for the annual Canyon Creek Easter Egg Hunt at Trail Head Park on Saturday, April 16, 2011.  This year most of the little ones with their baskets straggled in a little late (must have slept in a little).  We usually start right at 10am but saw the droves of kids making their way into the park so waited until 10:10am for the first group of three to go after their eggs!

The first quarter of 2010 has passed and we are close upon Easter Sunday.  Gene and I are always thrilled to sponsor the annual eggs-stravaganza in our community.  The excitement is so evident on the faces of the children it gives us pause to be more thankful for all that we have.  The quote from Alice Freeman Palmer sums up our feelings:"For I remember it is Easter morn...and life and love and peace are all new born."
