Flying high.........
Guess who had a day off Monday from school for teacher workshop day? Handsome Hudson and his dad decided to test out flying at iFly in NW Austin. It's their mission to bring the dream of flight to everyone. Hudson loved his flight (as well as his dad).

heroes: Thankful Thursdays~ Father and Son - 01/30/13 08:09 PM
Last Sunday we met in the park in Canyon Creek to have some family photos taken (which we will be sharing in future posts). Our son John and their 4 month old son Hudson were just hanging around jumping in and out of different captions! Father and son...a great combination.....

I couldn’t help but think of a favorite quote of mine from Walter M. Schirra:
“You don’t raise heroes you raise sons. And if you treat them like sons, they’ll turn out to be heroes, even if it’s just in your own eyes.”

The management in our Arboretum Office complex always line the walkways with flags honoring the heroes that made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we share.
