The other day I was reading a re-blog by Jane Peters and was reminded that California was adding the $10K credit in addition to the $8K tax credit...I couldn't help but think the double dipping was quite an incentive for those in the sunshine state!
I was on a listing appointment yesterday morning and the couple was telling me about their daughter out in CA who really wanted to buy a house and take advantage of the $8K tax incentive.  I told them about the additional $10K incentive that CA is offering and they were astounded and didn't think she knew … (10 comments)

Jim talks about the mortgage rates and tax incentive credits making a difference for the buyers and feel is a good time to buy.  The momentum of these items coupled with the economy improving, appear to be igniting interest from the buyers to begin their search and make offers!

tax incentives: No Better Time Than Now - 12/07/09 09:15 AM


The unemployment figures surfacing in the 4th quarter are not as bad as predicted, interest rates continue at record lows and the numbers of homes closing the fourth quarter are up significantly. Doom and gloom were rampant the first two quarters while some buyers bought and sellers sold; not in record numbers but the beat went on for some.  Admittedly there were many sellers who could not sell and foreclosures were at record highs. This third quarter held fast to a negative theme however the fourth quarter sees light at the end of the tunnel.
