This cool crisp morning was perfect for the exciting time at the 2012 Platinum Top 50 Awards Ceremony held at the Austin Music Hall in Austin, Texas. Amber Thomas President of PT50 shared with us there were 20% more applicants this year so being named in the 150 finalists was a coveted spot. They announced the 50 recipients for the Platinum Top 50 Realtors in Austin, Texas. Coldwell Banker United was awarded 7 agent winner spots (two in our NW office)! Yahoo!! I was grateful for my second year in a row to be among the top 50.

There are songs written and girls often remark how sometimes they just want to have fun!! Well, I guess our NW Coldwell Banker United office started a fun tradition 10 years ago based on that premise. We have a gift exchange of a $20 gift item; everyone brings a dish and BYO!!

Each year our NW Austin Coldwell Banker United office likes to give back to our community in a variety of ways. One of our favorite activities is supporting the Austin Children's Shelter at Christmas. What a fun time I have had delivering poinsettias to clients I have worked with in 2012! This year it has been harder making time as December is turning into such a busy month for new business. Last night was the Opening Mix and Mingle event for the 150 finalists for the 2012 Platinum Top 50 Realtors in Austin! Let me tell you PT 50 knows how to throw a party!! Our very own Canyon Creek resident Shweta Nair is the team leader for the first Canyon Creek Lego League robotics team: The Golden Brickmasters!
Their team is made up of kids ranging in age from 9-13. Excitement is building for their first competition at Westwood HS on December 8th, 2012.
They had the task of developing an idea that could help senior citizens live better lives along with designing and building a Lego Mind-storm robot capable of performing certain tasks. The team visited a senior center to find out problems that faced seniors and discovered the most common problem was limited mobility.
