Pick Your Own Apples in the Hudson Valley
This 3 day weekend is the best for apples and pumpkins in the Hudson Valley.
Apple picking in the Hudson Valley seems to be a little late this year. The leaves are turning color and the apples are still on the trees and anxiously awaiting their time to be picked and eaten. If you are heading up to the Hudson Valley there are  plenty of local farms in the area.  ”Pick your own” apples is such a great fall activity.  My favorite farm is Lawrence Farms in the Town of Newburgh NY.
On good authority from one of the owners, I am told that this is the peak of the season and the busiest one too. People come from miles around to join in and spend an afternoon on the farm. The sun is shining down on the Hudson Valley today and I am sure that it will be a great day for many.
The farms provide you with bags or boxes and apple trees in a beautiful well kept orchard. Your job is to hike around the property and pick the apples. Tasting is encouraged, but please do not over do it. (there is ... more
