How Specific are Keyword Phrases? You may be surprised...
I have been working on SEO for my website. As part of this work, I have identified a number of phrases I want to be found by when someone searches Google.
But the more I study how to optimize for certain keyphrases, I find that keyphrases can be very specific.
For example, if you do a Google search right now for "FHA mortgage NC", my website comes up on page one of Google. However, change that just a bit to "FHA mortgage North Carolina" and I am back on page 2.
NC and North Carolina are the same thing, yet I am found in 2 different areas with these 2 different variations.
The key here is to mix up how you sprinkle in your keyphrases. With this example I find that I need to spell out North Carolina a bit more which will help to increase my rankings that way.
