Has Acceptable Business Communication Changed?
Has acceptable business communication changed?  Technology certainly has!  We have all become accustomed to all of our gadgets, the cell phone, the laptop, the tablet.  Because of the convenience and  easy access to information we have come to expect immediate answers for everything.  We are all guilty!!  But my question for today, is this really acceptable? 
What do you find the most appropriate delivery for business communication?  Should everything be communicated via email or text message?  Are there occasions when it is more appropriate to make a phone call, or send a hand written  note?   In deciding you should always consider the following:
What is my message? Who am I sending it to? How will it be received? Let me share a recent experience.  There were 5 people in the email conversation.  One  person did not thoroughly read my response, made an assumption and continued to argue her point regardless of how many had said she was wrong.  Instead of apologizing in the email trail, she made the choice to send me a text message.  For the record, it is my opinion that we depend too much on technology and have lost the focus of building proper business relationships.  As in my example, the preferred method would ... more
