When You Don't Want to But You Have To
I don't want to write this blog.
I don't want to ask of you what I'm going to ask of you.  And that's to support a cause, make a donation of your time or money to a cause and join a cause if you haven't done so already.
I don't want to do this, but I have to.
I have to for my mom because my mom fought cancer for 10 years and beat it.  But she didn't beat Alzheimer's disease.  
Please don't stop reading.  There is something important you need to know.
And here it is.
Alzheimer's might be coming for you.  And it could be coming for me too.
Let that sink in.
We might be out selling houses one day and then not remember how to get back home.  That's what happened to my mom.  She had been shopping and couldn't remember the way home.  
That's scary.
After we lost mom, I didn't want to have anything to do with this horrible monster of a disease.  But a friend of mine (who's father had Alzheimer's disease and who is one of my clients) started a fund raising effort last year in connection with our local hockey team, the Tulsa Ice Oilers.  He invited me and I went even though ... more
