What does NOT happen after an escrow has closed.
Real estate agents know that when an escrow closes, the client/agent relationship ends. Yes, it does, just check with your Errors and Omissions insurance agent.
Obviously, we agents don't stop talking to our "past" clients once the transaction is closed. You know, we might send them a gift, invite them to lunch, or do something nice for them as a "thank you".
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE AGENTS "ON THE OTHER SIDE"?
WHAT IF THEY ASK FOR STUFF? LET ME GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE.
I just closed on a multi-unit investment property. The agent who will be managing it - from the same agency that is the selling side - called and asked if I minded if she used my photos to look for renters. I thought that was brazen but I couldn't find fault with them starting their search early. And I wasn't inclined to have them take their own photos before it closed. It was kind of a fine line.  But I said "yes."
Today, the day of closing, that same agent who will manage the units, called me again and asked for leases and other information on the tenant that came with with (survived) the closing.
