I was out running errands and taking photos in the Village the other night. I had to include this red pay telephone booth that stands by the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort on Carlsbad Boulevard and bordering the ocean - you can practically see the ocean from the phone booth!
 
I don't know the history, but there are references to it from 2007 online but I suspect it's been standing there longer. I didn't bother to see if it actually worked - no change! LOL.
 
You sure don't see many of these around, do you, especially the red British-style ones? When was the last time YOU used a pay phone...or found one that worked?!
