Moving Tip #2...Let Your Pictures Tell a Story
 
If you’re anything like me, your memory will take you just so far. With our recent move, I didn’t want to rely solely on what I thought I would remember so I enlisted the camera on my iPhone and an easy editing tool that is part of the iPhone editor to help me when I began setting up our new home.
 
In my desire to edit and simplify our new life in Houston as well as keep the moving costs down, I got rid of a lot of things. However, I knew that between packing, moving, and then setting up our new home, I would forget what items I’d kept and which ones I’d donated.
 
 
So I took a picture with my iPhone of the item I was not taking with me and using the editing feature on the phone (Markup), I placed an “X” on it or made some other notation on it.
 
It may seem a bit obsessive, however, now that I’ve been unpacking everything, it has really helped me. The item below, for example, is one that I had been on the fence about taking. It wasn’t until a few days ... more
