Are Home Cameras helping or hurting Real Estate Sales?
An interesting thing happened. I showed a Manchester NH area Home For Sale and no sooner then exiting the home my phone rang. It was the seller. Then it went something like this. "HOW DARE I talk bad about their home."
 
Now, before you ask what I said, representing the buyer, it is common to discuss a home while you look at it. The good, the bad, the ugly, what they like and what they do not like. 
 
Here in NH you can have a security camera without posting a notice, but recording sound, is not allowed. This Seller sat and listened to everything we said. You have to think they listen to every one else as well.
 
SO what did we discuss that the seller did not like? The seller did a beautiful job on the interior, new kitchen, new paint, new flooring but nearly every window had a broken seal. They were 25 plus years old. Every window was cloudy. The buyer would want to replace all of them if they purchased this home. They actually liked  the home. They were not afraid to install new windows if they got the home at the right price to account for this. The buyer though was offended by ... more
