If I had written a post like this about my own experience the title would have been Fridge 1 - Brian 0, haha.  Unfortunately, I had to learn Scott Godzyk's number 1 rule the hard way, haha.
You will not want to miss this story. So the bank calls asking me to list a home they took back at auction last week. The thing is they need me to go within 2 hours to make sure it is secured. A rural home in a nice town.
 
Not knowing if it is vacant or occupied, I pull up the tax card and look for any old or current MLS listings for this home. I head out to check. I was enjoying the beautiful fall colors as i made my way to this rural town. I locate the street and drive by slow to see what i can see.
 
The home sits back off the road and can be barely seen from the road. The lawn has not been mowed since at least spring. No cars and no neighbors to ask. I pull in and walk to the door. There is no answer. I can see inside the door things thrown about. I cant ... more
