For Those Baby Steps 
 
I Am Grateful For Those Baby Steps  I have appreciated the importance of baby steps for a long time.  At an early age, the story of The Tortoise And The Hare took on a life form of its own as the story found many parallels in life. 
 
Like, the fable, I believe that effort, diligence and perseverance are excellent qualities. In all aspects of life.  As an almost teenager I remember the first moon landing and those now famous words of moving forward in a giant leap.  Once again, baby steps were a part of the process, weren't they?   
 
Examples of baby steps have played a role throughout my life but none so vividly remembered until December, 2017.  As I have previously shared(I apologize for being redundant), just before Christmas that year and days after my final real estate closing for the year, I had a stroke.  I spent the holiday at UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital.  From there, I began the following year at California Rehab Institute in Century City.  I knew how important baby steps(literally and figuratively) were as part of my recovery process.  I distinctly remember telling staff members when asked:  "What ... more
