Happy Thanksgiving 2019
 
 
Thanksgiving is a time of gathering as families and as a nation to show gratitude for the many blessings we have received. It’s a time for reflection, memories, commitment, dedication, and hope for our future. In this longstanding tradition, may we share our bounty with others.
 
 
Throwback Thursdays reminds of the past. Here’s the wedding couple that was on the top of my wedding cake. Weddings back then were a gathering of family and friends, food, wine, music, and celebrations with good wishes for all. My favorite part of Thanksgiving as a child was when my father ran the old slide projector of picnics, graduations, and other major milestones we achieved after dinner. As a parent, my children and I made ourselves comfy after dinner and watched movies like the Muppets. It seemed as if the more members of our family were added, the more characters we had that play a role in our lives, memorable and merry. Dinner was a feast with enough food to satisfy the difference between who wanted white meat and who wanted dark, those you wanted veggies and those that didn't want green beans or brussel sprouts. And nobody went home hungry.
