Preaching from the throne? Before you preach set the example is my take
The other day I saw a post being Featured on how to behave on Active Rain. While I  appreciate those members,  who participated and were kind enough to give it a like or a praise, I am not in agreement.  
I am very selective in who I will send referrals; in a nutshell, it is someone who has the same work ethic as I do, it does not matter to me if  that person is an Ambassador on Active Rain. It is not about the points., rather it is about who will deliver the high bar of customer service that do.  Over the past 15 plus years I have been on Active Rain, quite a few agents have received referrals from me.
Now let us talk about how to support other members:
    Make a comment and make the comment be kind and supportive of the post. I do not mean the robo commenter who only wants to get points for their comments: rather, it is about the Lou Ludwig style, making the person feel good and help him out with a comment and putting a like to their post that is being supportive.
