Don't be duped by online trivia
So the cell phone bill just came in for the family. We did good again, nobody went over the limit. But wait a minute, what's this $10 charge for PREMIUM MESSAGING on my daughter's line ? Come to find out, through a little forensics, I found the culprit.
There is a company advertising on Facebook, as a harmeless add, asking you to check your IQ. Kind of like "trivial pursuit" or "are you smarter than a fitth grader".
At the end of the test you get your score on how you did only if you provide you CELL PHONE NUMBER. We all want our results. They will send you a text message with a secret code to get your results. This Seems innocent.
In the smallest font known to eyes, at the end, before you get your score, it says if you hit enter after entering your cell number, you agree to join a $9.95 per month trivia service. I need my 3.0 glasses to see it
SCAM
I have Verizon, and they said  basically , they are a collection agent, and it's out of their hands. But they could cancel additional charges.. Sort of like "congratulations you dialed a Carribean ... more
