Just sharing one of my favorite things to do - help people! I'm sure some of you know about Microfinance companies - but for those don't -
Wiki says: More broadly, it is a movement whose object is "a world in which as many poor and near-poor households as possible have permanent access to an appropriate range of high quality financial services, including not just credit but also savings, insurance, and fund transfers."[1] Those who promote microfinance generally believe that such access will help poor people out of poverty. volunteering: Giving Back - What a great way to start my weekend!!

What a perfect start to my weekend - today I joined my buddy Ross Woo - a Realtor with Macdonald Realty here in Vancouver, BC down at the Vancouver Food Bank. He set up a group on facebook a few months ago - asking for volunteers - I bit. :)
This morning I woke up - grabbed my coffee and headed down to the local foodbank to meet with the troops and work that warehouse! And work it we did! We sorted through 10 skids of groceries - our job was to sort. 4 Catagories - Cans, Beverages, Baking Goods & … (4 comments)
