A buyer recently asked me to do a comparison of condos that are at and around the Huntington Metro. For those who don’t know the Huntington Metro is the last stop on the Yellow Line, in Fairfax County Virginia, just outside Alexandria. The Yellow Line is my favorite Metro line because it doesn’t have many stops and the ride from Virginia to DC is generally pleasant with nice views of Alexandria and the Potomac. Advantages
Condos on average are more affordable then other types of housing. Maintenance of the exterior of the building will be take care of. The peace of mind living next to neighbors if help is needed. Condos can be located in major cities surrounded by restaurants, night clubs, and local bars. Many condos offer a pool, gym, and basketball/tennis court for those who are active.

Condos are often located in high rise building making for spectacular views.

An old part of Franconia, Guilford can be found intersecting both Kingstowne and Rose Hill. While many communities have begun to flow with these modern times, Guilford has managed to maintain its idyllic feel.
Guilford can be found north of Telegraph Road, east of South Van Dorn Street, west of Rose Hill Drive and south of Franconia Road. It is characterized by small, disconnected homes situated in large land areas (half-acre lots are quite commonplace), with some homes occupying as much as two lots.

Il Porto is located on King Street as it approaches the water in Old Town Alexandria. Il Porto serves home-made pasta and Italian food in a traditional setting and manner.
One dish I highly recommend is the Chicken Parmesana together with the homemade ravioli’s. The portions are generous and the food is high quality and prepared with care. A pictorial menu is online.
Il Porto is definitely one of my favorites and together with a few other classics in lower Old Town, it’s one of the reasons I really enjoy living and working in Old Town Alexandria.
