We are quick to jump at any number that offers hope, living the reality is one thing the keeps us knowing the media and politicans live in different worlds than we do.  Analyzing the numbers is what many people don't do.  It takes time and because someone reports it that must mean they did the work to support their story.  All I can say is maybe.
I check the numbers every week in my market as a minimum.  I use more than just housing and unemployment numbers to gage the housing market.  What makes an economy tick is work.  When would-be buyers do not … (4 comments)

I watched the CNN "Open House" segment today.  www.cnn.com/openhouse This should give you the link to the program.  It was the first time I took the time to watch the entire half hour show.  They talked about the sub-prime market....and an analyst put the blame on the lenders.  The poor borrower that over stated his income must have been coerced into over stating.   Jesse Jackson said the lenders were using steering and red lining tactics....clearly he didn't have a clue but wants someone to be responsible....anybody other than the borrowers.  He gave some lop sided statistics that I have yet to … (14 comments)
