God Bless the Japanese! Through Active Rain , my colleagues, my friends and my daughter and her touch points we have managed to collect some Tea for Japan. F or 30 days we have been blogging, Tweeting, E-mailing, forwarding and using whatever means available to raise awareness for the campaign my daughhter started at the time of the original catastrophe. Our goal was to collect 500,000 Tea bags, one for every person displaced immediatly, without warning, stop for just 1 second and think about that. Now its here, NOW ITS GONE! As a follow up to the campaign, i wanted to give a special thanks to Tammy Lankford, Yes Tammy I finally received your shipment from Amazon and to Martha Brown who i also needed to trace the UPS shipment. The good news is that I did receive them and they will be shipped on Wednsday April the 20th. All in all we did pretty good, we got to ship over 1000 boxes of Tea to Japan. We were looking for 500,000 well , we hit 500,000 if we can count individual tea leaves. :)

How many different ways can you say, PAY IT FORWARD? When disaster strikes, the difference between us and all other animals is our ability to PAY IT FORWARD, our ability to drop what's importnant to us and make it about what's important to them. Well here is exciting news...The first tea has arrived via a UPS truck, the goal is to ship it to Japan by container. It was only 5 days ago that my daughter brought to our attention that Tea for Japan was one of the most sought after items following the incredible destruction of the combination Earthquake and Tsunami that has so affected that part of the world. While in my 25th year as a multi-state title insurance agent I am fulfilling a promise I made to myself just 3 days into my new career. "This industry is broken, I need to part of the change" Over my tenure, the companies I have been involved with, Family Abstract, Inc. et al has been involved in over 100,000 real estate transactions. The number one question that continually rose was regarding the commissions being paid to the Realtors(r) at closing. The buyers insisted it was their money that paid for the commissions since it was added to the sales price, the sellers believed it was their money because it was paid as part of the sales price and the "Gentlemen of Real Estate that began it all were smart enough to put it in the Agreement of Sale to protect their own ASSets. Question 1A was, what does 6% commission have anything to do with the value my agent brought me? How does one equate to the other? Why am I handing money to everyone? :(
