This time of the year we all have certain traditions that we follow, or want to create with our families. Some traditions are carried on from when we were children. Some are based on our religions. And some of them are just for fun, and we see if they catch on. How wonderful to be able to create a tradition that our kids, grandkids, and beyond may continue and pass along to others. Eventually, no one really knowing who started it, or how it got started. My receptionist has a tradition of "Dessert First". She said her grandpa started doing this so that he … (7 comments)
In 2012, after retiring from our jobs in Florida, we came to Mountain Rest to build our "Dream Mountain Home on Lake Becky". In the past 6 years, we have created many wonderful memories with the grandchildren, family, and friends. All of the Lake activities; Fishing, boating, skiing, tubing, swimming, and mountain hiking.
As an unexpected bonus, we have enjoyed watching many wildlife activities from our front porch eg a 3 legged deer, turkeys, … (5 comments)
