Was your car or truck partially submerged in a recent flood like we had in Nashville?  If yes, better read on.
We all know that oil and water do not mix well.  And that is especially true in a combustible engine.  And the same holds true for transmission fluid and fuel.
If your car was exposed to flood waters, there is a possibility that water got into the … (0 comments)

Now onto the blog:  Nashville Home Inspection - Crawl Space Junction Box - What's Wrong With This Picture?
HINT:  Two things.

ANSWER:  First, any open junction box should be covered to prevent inadvertent contact and electrical shock should someone accidentally stick something into the open box. And second, this situation is especially dangerous because the open conductors are hanging directly above the copper metal plumbing pipes.  So let's just go ahead and power up the entire plumbing … (0 comments)

ANSWER:  Microbial growth.  Many people quickly call this mold, but without a lab analysis, we don't know for sure.  A sample should be taken and sent for lab analysis.  See the closeup of the material below.
