Boone NC & Surrounding Area: Great Mountain Towns Happy Tuesday. I wanted to share a bit about where we live and work in the small Mountain community of Boone (and nearby Blowing Rock, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Banner Elk and Linville. West Jefferson is just North of Boone as well. We are a small town area with emphasis on golf, tennis, HIKING (we have the Appalachian Trail) fishing and various outdoor activities and COOL summers. skiing: Snow Makes the Skiers Happy in Boone & Appalachian Ski Mountain

Snow Flurries led to 2 inches of fresh snow yesterday. We were predicted to have 3 to 6 inches, so i am happy with this. The ski season is upon us, so this makes the skiers here (3 ski slopes) very happy & tourists often buy second homes here. So I can settle in for a day or two if snow helps the economy. Hope wherever you are the weather is just what you enjoy.
