Operation Homefront is providing donated laptops to our troops in order for them to connect with loved ones. This is a wonderful thing to do for them!
Operation Homefront a non-profit organization dedicated to helping soldiers in need and CDW-G a technology serivce provider, have partnered to provide donated laptops to wounded soldiers in the DC area. Soliders recovering at Fort Belvoir and Walter Reed will be able to connect with family, take courses, stay in touch with friends and keep up with the news with the donated laptops. Freedom Isn't FreeWe all say it every year. Let's not forget the men and women who have died protecting us in order to preserve our freedom. Let's not forget those that continue to serve now. I think we forget them. I've seen men and women in uniform at a store or elsewhere and not one person would say Thank You. We assume they have desk jobs. Maybe they do at that moment but they have been on the front lines in the past. There are a lot more military people that are in the Middle East right now than administrative (18 comments)
Long Island Real Estate - Home Buyer Tax Credit Extended & Expanded This tax credit is not just for first-time home buyers anymore. This needs to be posted again for a reminder not to miss out on it if you can afford to buy a home! Under the new law, an eligible taxpayer must buy, or enter into a binding contract to buy, a principal residence on or before April 30, 2010 and close on the home by June 30, 2010. For qualifying purchases in 2010, taxpayers have the option of claiming the credit on either their 2009 or 2010 (3 comments)
This blog is dedicated to my Uncle Freddie (USMC) My uncle Freddie was a great man, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He, at that time, was the only adult in my life that never treated me with that, "children should be seen at not heard" mentality. He was a great listener and could make you laugh no matter how bad of a mood you were in. If you were sad, that sadness would go away in seconds when he was around.
