lancaster city pa: Helping with Lancaster Habitat's Builders Blitz

Recently I had the opportunity to volunteer with our Lancaster office agents over at the 2014 Builder’s Blitz at Lancaster Habitat for Humanity. It was great to meet all the “regular” volunteers and tradespeople working on the site, and we brought along another twenty helpers of our own!
Lancaster Habitat is adding two new duplexes to the property this year during the blitz, joining the 6 they built a few years ago along Fairview Street in Lancaster City. If you’re looking at buying a home you’ll likely come across the phrase “privacy violation” somewhere. In a nutshell, a privacy violation occurs in real estate where you have to pass through one room to get into another, specifically with bedroom spaces. This is a common issue in homes for sale in Lancaster City, PA and also in older farmhouses around Lancaster County. Last Thursday Square One Coffee in Lancaster City, PA was home to the first breakfast Tweetup of the new year as a group of the Twitter faithful descended on the corner of Chestnut & Duke to enjoy hot drinks on a cold morning - 7am, to be exact.
Everyone was in high spirits despite the winter weather and looking forward to the renewal of events after the holiday season hiatus.
