I would like to share with you a way to block creditors from randomly running your credit and lowering your credit scores due to multiple inquiries. If you choose to Opt Out at https://www.optoutprescreen.com/ . I have been informed that this will increase your FICO scores by about 15 points when you select the opt out for 5 years option. In my first blog I told you how you could opt out of credit card pre-screening to raise your credit scores. Today, I want to give more Opt-Out options. Reduce the number of telemarketing calls, the amount of junk mail and more ways to eliminate "pre-approved" credit card offers. Just think of the ramifications if someone got a hold of one of those "pre-approved" offers and changed your address...bye bye credit score!
