This Hudson River view  is from the grounds at Blythewood in the area known as Annandale-On-Hudson.
Where is Annandale -On-Hudson?  You could say it is Bard College.  This area is located in the town of Red Hook and comes with its own zipcode 12504.
Annandale runs along the Hudson River and that is why it is possible to get spectacular views of the Hudson River and Catskills.

Bard College  the Annandale-on-Hudson Community in Red Hook NY
 The private liberal arts college, Bard is located in the Annandale-On-Hudson community in the town of Red Hook, NY.
 Bard was originally founded in 1860 and was then known as St. Stephens College.
The college's  history is well documented and does make a good read.
 This Annandale-on-Hudson community is a very interesting place, however this blog post will concentrate on the impact it has on the entire Red Hook Community.
