Strong and steady is the name of the game in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell housing market. Not only have prices remained unchanged in the area, but building permits and consumer demand have stayed largely stable, too – despite higher mortgage rates and other headwinds.

The Georgia capital is looking at modest price growth around 5%—surpassing stagnant prices in the wider U.S. market, according to the National Association of RealtorsAtlanta is forecast to be the U.S.’s top property market of 2023, according to a report Tuesday from the National Association of Realtors (NAR). 
The Georgia city topped the association’s list of markets to watch next year based on its performance in 10 key metrics—including housing affordability, employment conditions and population growth—when compared to the national average. 
Among the 179 metro areas analyzed by NAR, it was the only one to meet all 10 indicators.

ga400 business corridor: GA400 Bridge Replacements $$$ - 06/24/22 10:49 AM
State transportation officials have selected two firms to replace three bridges along Ga. 400 in Fulton County as a prelude to building toll lanes on the highway. 
C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. and Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering together submitted the apparent successful proposal to design and build bridges over Pitts Road, Roberts Drive and Kimball Bridge Road. They were among six teams that bid for the project, submitting the low bid of $55.1 million. The work is expected to begin in early 2023 and be completed in 2025.

For many of us who have recently relocated to South Forsyth County Georiga, our commutes on GA400 could become a lot more, well...lengthy.  The GA400 Express Lane Project remains on the table for GADOT and many north suburban Atlanta commuters are cheering for it to get started.  New Express LanesIf you live in or visit Forsyth County, you have undoubtedly encountered some of GA 400. NORTH METRO ATLANTA — Officials with the Georgia Department of Transportation fielded some 50 questions about the Ga. 400 express lanes project during an online outreach session Sept. 1.
The $1.6 billion project, set for completion in 2026, calls for adding express lanes in each direction along the highway from I-285 north 16 miles to McFarland Parkway in Forsyth County. The project is one of 11 initial Major Mobility Investment Programs designed to reduce traffic congestion along major corridors around Atlanta.
