downtown events: Life-Like Statues Blend with the Crowd in Pleasanton, CA

I'm not sure how recent an addition these statues are to Downtown Pleasanton, CA but they sure caught my attention tonight, while strolling through town at the First Wednesday Street Party. A total of 11 statutues in the Sweard Johnson sculpture exhibition displayed in cities around the world, are now making their appearance in Pleasanton, CA. Great conversation starters!

A signature event in Livermore, the 19th Annual Wine Country Festival is slated for May 1st and 2nd, 2010. Drawing more than 70,000 guests over the 2 day event, there’s something for everyone in the family at this favorite local event. Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Enjoy Award Winning Livermore wines. Three designated wine tents to enjoy tasting or full glasses of wine.
