the temple team: Why are Saltwater Pools So Popular - 09/29/13 02:35 AM
Thank you Preston for such a GREAT and VERY INFORMATIVE BLOG on "Salt Water Pools" and their definite advantages over having a regular chlorine pool. I myself have a salt water pool and wouldn't ever think of having anything else! It's a constant crystal clear blue water and far less maintenance than with the chlorine pools I've had in the past. It's well worth the extra money upfront for a lifetime of better swimming and much easier maintenance!  GREAT BLOG ... Thanks fo allowing me to re-blog it!
Pools are great fun for kids and adults and when it is hot in … (2 comments)

the temple team: NAVY SEALS Swim Across Lake Norman for a GREAT CAUSE! - 08/04/13 01:30 PM

Three former Navy SEALS swam more than 12 miles across Lake Norman Friday from Queens Landing to the Rusty Rudder.  The swim raised awareness for Operation Restored Warrior, a program in Colorado that works with veteran suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It's estimated that 22 service members commit suicide each day!
Former US Navy SEAL Shannon Rusch from Mooresville was one of the three seals that took off on the 12.2 mile journey from Queen's Landing at 10 a.m. The swim was expected to take about 8 hours but they accomplised their goal way ahead of time so … (0 comments)

the temple team: The IMPORTANCE OF PINTEREST! - 08/01/13 04:14 AM
PINTEREST IS AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT RESOURCE FOR MARKETING YOUR LISTINGS!
FACT:  Pinterest drives more traffic to websites than Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus or YouTube.

A recent study revealed that single women represent a much more fruitful source of leads than single men.
They are buying homes at nearly twice the rate as single men, according to the 2012 National Association of Realtors Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. Women are nearly four times as likely as men to use Pinterest, and those women love to surf Pinterest for ideas and information.
“As fast as images go viral on Pinterest, you … (4 comments)

the temple team: WHEW! Only a Slight Decline as a Result in Rising Interest Rates! - 07/30/13 08:46 AM
The number of Americans who signed contracts to buy homes dipped in June from a six-year high in May, a sign that sales could stabilize over the next few months.

The National Association of Realtors said Monday that its seasonally adjusted index for pending home sales dropped 0.4% to 110.9 in June. The May reading was revised lower by a percentage point to 111.3, but it was still the highest since December 2006.
The slight decline suggests higher mortgage rates may be starting to slow sales. Still, signed contracts are 10.9% higher than they were a year ago. There is … (0 comments)

the temple team: Want to tap into an IMPORTANT NICHE MARKET? - 07/16/13 11:18 PM

According to the National Association of Realtor’s 2013 Profile of International Home Buying Activity, 12% of International home buyers in the U.S. are Chinese.

In Canada, Chinese investors have been snapping up properties in Canada's largest cities, driving up prices and according to observers, often outbidding Canadians.
In the U.S., Chinese buyers pay more on average for properties – median price of homes bought by Chinese is $425,000.
Sixty-nine percent of Chinese purchasers pay all cash.
If you have tapped into this important market niche, or wish to work with very wealthy Chinese, here’s a useful resource.

the temple team: What's the Fate of "Freddie and Fannie"? - 07/16/13 10:28 PM

A quick bye-bye to Fannie and Freddie? Don’t bank on it.

With the sudden gush of congressional proposals designed to kill the two government-sponsored companies as fast as possible — the most recent floated at the end of last week by a key committee leader in the House — you’d think Fannie’s and Freddie’s days are numbered.
In the long run they probably are, but a close look at legislative plans such as the “PATH Act” (Protecting American Taxpayers and Homeowners Act) by House Financial Services Committee Chairman Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) means that Fannie and Freddie are going to … (2 comments)

the temple team: Does Burying St. Joseph Really Help??? - 07/14/13 10:30 PM

EVERYONE is CATHOLIC when it's time to sell your home!
According to tradition if you really want to sell your home quickly you should bury a statue of St. Joseph upside down in the yard of your home.  Praying to St. Joseph for a quick sale and burying a statue of him is said to always bring a fast offer on the home.

The tradition of burying a statue of St. Joseph in the yard of a home that you’re trying to sell goes back thousands of years.
It is believed that because St. Joseph is the patron saint of … (10 comments)

the temple team: It's a "Seller's Market", BUT .... - 07/09/13 07:30 PM
It’s a Seller’s Market, But Will Your Home Sell?
If you recently put your home up for sale, you’ve got great timing!
All signs are pointing to a housing market recovery. List prices rose 10% in the first quarter of this year, and even though more homes are coming onto the market, buyers are quickly snapping them up.
The nationwide median list price was $194,900, which is up 3% from last year. But in hard-hit markets like Detroit and cities in California, prices are up more than 30%. Homes are also selling in an average of 81 days—a decrease … (6 comments)
