A survey by Ipsos found that the American public is still somewhat confused about what is actually necessary to qualify for a home mortgage loan in today’s housing market. The study pointed out two major misconceptions that we want to address today.
1. Down Payment The survey revealed that consumers overestimate the down payment funds needed to qualify for a home loan. According to the report, 36% think a 20% down payment is always required. In actuality, there are many loans written with a down payment of 3% or less.

I know myself, and a growing majority of REALTORS are tiring of the constant "spam" emails by other agents. When I get up in the morning and find my "inbox" , full of "new listings" or "price reductions"... from other agents, it gets a little frustrating, oh sure I can "unsubscribe" but I shouldn't have to do that. Our MLS has about 1,600 agents, our State has about 6,000 agents and I did'nt "opt in" (see rules below) to single one of their "drip" email campaign's, not one. So what does this tell me about that agent?

Kona Country Club is scheduled to open its Makai Course on February 1, 2016 according to Hawaii Tee Times. I just logged into their Website and was able to book a tee time for 7:04 am 2/1/16 . One thing I was not able to do was get a "kama'aina discount" , so if you find out more about that, please post in my comment section and I will update the information here. As rumors have it, the Kona Country Club is reopening its Ocean Course on February 1, 2016! I looked up tee times and the cost is posted at $165.00 each, and the first Tee time available is at 7:04 am. Its been a long time in the making and it almost didn’t happen.

So I was showing my clients a new listing that came on the market last night, when my phone rang…… It was the “70s” calling me, looking for their gold leaf mirrors and funky tiki art……
As we toured the house, it was just like the agent stated. A 1970 time capsule, everything was well kept, velvet covered chairs, and Formica covered counters, corning wear in the cabinets.......
It wasn’t until I got home that my curiosity peaked, it was too well kept, all the personal items were gone, but all the large furnishings, plates, display cabinets were in place, something wasn’t registering.
