Wake the Lake 2014 takes place this Saturday, September 20th, on Lake Norman in Mooresville. It’s a wakeboard competition for all ages, beginning at 9:00 am and lasting until the sun sets. The event takes place at Eddie’s Seafood & Raw Bar off Williamson Road. The competition is available for all ages, divided into nine & under, 10-15 boys/girls, intermediate, advanced, and outlaws. Downtown Davidson offers its Halloween March on Friday, October 25th. Kids can enjoy games starting at 4:00 pm on the town green, followed by the Halloween March at 5:00 pm. Children can wear their costumes and march down Main Street - while merchants pass out candy. The Halloween March begins at Town Hall and progresses down Main Street to the College Bookstore. After the march, there is a concert on the town green.

The other day Brian and I met with our friend, Anika Jones, who sells new homes for True Homes in Rockridge Point in Mooresville. She told us about the homes she is selling in Mooresville, which offer large lots with homes starting in the $300’s. When she asked where we wanted to meet- without I doubt I cast my vote for The Prickly Pear in Mooresville.
