Did you know that Daytona Beach Florida has some great colleges? I’m not talking about your standard, every day, run-of-the-mill colleges. I’m talking about really great colleges! daytona beach fl real estate: Changes in real estate contracts and laws. What every Florida real estate buyer and seller should know - 07/28/07 12:03 PM
Do you realize that the standard real estate contracts most Florida Realtors® use, are changed every couple of years? These changes reflect any legal actions that may have influenced the individual clauses in the contracts since the last release. There are 2 contracts that are primarily used by Realtors® in Florida. These are the Florida Association of Realtors®  (FAR) contract, and the Florida Association of Realtors/Florida Bar (FAR/BAR) contract. These contracts can only be used by Realtors® or Attorneys.
In the Daytona Beach area (Volusia County), the FAR/BAR contract is used at least 95% of the time, and some listing agents … (15 comments)

daytona beach fl real estate: Florida Property Tax Amendment and Florida Association of Realtors (FAR) - 06/14/07 07:45 AM

Yesterday I posted a blog about the problem with Florida's property taxes and the Save Our Homes Act.

I just received an e-mail from our local Association of Realtors (Daytona Beach area), and the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR). Asking us to go to FAR's Call-to-Action System and make our voices heard.

One of the new proposed amendments to reduce our property taxes is the Florida Super Homestead Exemption, which would phase out the Save Our Homes Act.

Florida Realtors are being asked to go to the Florida Association of Realtor's Call-to-Action system and request relief for all non-homesteaded and commercial properties. At … (4 comments)

daytona beach fl real estate: SETTING A GOOD EXAMPLE aka HELPING OTHER REAL ESTATE AGENTS - 05/21/07 06:02 PM

I just read a post by Jacob Morales, called What's In It For Me? where he relayed the story of an arrogant Top Producer who treated him in an offensive manner when he needed her help, in the early stages of his career. I recommend you read his post as an opposing balance to this one.
As with most Realtors, my first year in the business was rocky. I didn't make much money and had amassed enough debt to have me pretty stressed out.  And the sales manager was not only no help, this manager actually helped me to LOSE a much-needed, … (48 comments)

daytona beach fl real estate: UPDATE ON NEW PORT ORANGE WAL MART SITUATION - 05/10/07 08:13 AM
For quite some time now, Wal Mart has been seeking approval from our City Council, to construct a Supercenter at the corner of Nova Rd. and Madeline Ave.
On the surface, to some people, this may seem like a great idea; except for the fact that there are already two Wal Mart Supercenters, within 3 miles from this location. Not to mention the fact that Nova Rd. was just widened a couple of years ago, to accommodate the traffic that had by far, out-paced what that road could handle. To build another (unneeded) Wal Mart would once again put too much … (0 comments)

Buying real estate can be stressful. And with all of the bad news we're seeing in the media, it can be downright scary!
