I don't do this often, but thought it would be a good idea to repost this to my Minneapolis & Saint Paul area blog as well. Getting published and quoted in nationally-recognized real estate or financial publications is a goal that a lot of real estate professionals would like to pursue. There's no manual or instruction book on how to do this, but it is possible to reach a wider audience than you may find by blogging alone. Realtor Receives Hate Mail From Another Realtor, All Because of a December 2007 ActiveRain Post On Saturday, I opened the mail at my Madeline Island real estate office, as I would any other day. To my surprise, I had received an anonymous, one-page typewritten letter from California. The sender had printed "Winchester, CA" in the upper-left corner of the envelope, but the postmark was from San Bernardino. My address was printed exactly as it appears on my ActiveRain profile. This was no ordinary letter. It was hate mail.

MAAR friends Linda Stoechicht (Director of International Programming & Broker Services) and Mark Allen (Chief Executive Officer at the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors) recently sent me congratulations on the recent article that appeared in Realtor Magazine which mentioned my work on the Wisconsin and NAR Equal Opportunity committees toward the proposed Amendment to Article Ten of the Realtor Code of Ethics. I blogged about this in my Madeline Island Real Estate Blog a few weeks ago.
