Okay, there will be a few words here. otherwise, how will you know where to go to claim a few of these fabulous, if a bit unusual, pumpkins?
 
Find them at Trader Joe's and better hurry because there were many customers admiring the display, and many carts had at least one pumpkin in it as the shoppers wheeled away.

Josh and I attended the Palos Verdes Board of Realtors' breakfast meeting this morning.  The breakfast was okay, but the speaker, the chief economist for California Association of Realtors,  was excellent.
I covered most of the information she shared in my end of the year video message, but some interesting points were:
 The 2016 California housing market is projected to be more robust than 2015--good, but not great due to limited inventory and a gradual increase in interest rates. Mortgage rates are projected to stay relatively attractive with only small and slow increases in 2016.  The average interest rate is projected to be 4.5%. … (3 comments)

I had to go way back in my real estate career archives to find this one! As I recall, I pledged to donate 10% of all commissions earned during the month of November 1994 to the local food drive. I had a productive month and was more than happy to share my good fortune with the less fortunate.
My philosophy has always been to give back to the community where I work and live. I believe my check made up more than 50% of the amount donated by local Realtors that month, hence the photo opportunity to spread the word.

I love a delicious green salad for lunch and am always on the hunt for a fabulous new salad stop to add to my favorite eating spots on The Hill aka Palos Verdes Peninsula.  Last week I was in the Lunada Bay neighborhood of Palos Verdes Estates showing property and if it's mealtime and I'm in the area I always stop at St. Honore French Bakery for their delightful Tahitian Chicken Salad (with tiny slivers of crusty French bread).    I wish I had taken a picture as it looked good enough to eat, and that's exactly what I did.  However, the portion was so generous I enjoyed … (2 comments)

palos verdes real estate agent: Aqua Waters of the Pacific Ocean Along Palos Verdes Coastline - 04/25/12 07:41 AM

I love seeing the almost turquoise waters near the Portuguese Bend Beach Club as I drive along Palos Verdes Drive South.  Most of the water is the same shade of blue or gray depending on the sky, but this little stretch of water is always showcasing its individual palette of the Pacific.
 
This photograph was snapped as I hiked along a dirt trail near Trump National Golf Course, and although the water is not the same shade of brilliant blue, it was captivating enough to catch my attention.

I confess I worked right through last weekend.  It was not the plan, but it is what happened.  One thing I've learned about the day to day life as a real estate agent is balance is important, but so is flexibility.  Last minute cancellations and short notice calls to show property are part of the game when working with buyers.  Urgent calls to sellers to report a canceled showing appointment are disappointing (especially to the seller) but life is not written in stone--more like a magic erasable slate.  A wise broker once told me to set my appointments in pencil, and keep … (4 comments)
