Today was the annual Lake Granbury Master Gardener's Annual Plant Sale. The gates opened at promptly 8 a.m. and the line was huge! I arrived at 7:30 and was still fairly far back in the line. These people are serious about their plants! But, it was all for a great cause and those of us in line enjoyed visiting and chatting. Because I am close to moving into a new home that is new construction, I need a ton of plants. As you can see from the picture above, I found some great plants that will brighten up our empty yard. When the Texas Bluebonnets begin showing off, I get the itch to begin planning my garden. This year, we are building a new home and I already have the area picked out where my little garden will proudly sit. There is much to do in order to be ready for the actual planting. 🪴 Site Selection - The area you choose needs to receive the most potential sunlight is essential. gardening: LESSONS FROM MY GARDEN

Yesterday I spent a good deal of the late afternoon among my roses. Roses are beautiful but need constant care and attention. If you neglect them they become leggy, stop producing blooms and can be prone to bugs and diseases.
Gardening is always good for my soul. Something about getting your hands in the dirt to clear you mind and help you to think. As I was trimming away the dead wood and severely cutting the roses back, it occurred to me that there are so many life and real estate lessons in my garden.
