We met him between Christmas and New Years at an Open House here in Lake Ridge Virginia.
Back then he was in the "Just Looking" phase visiting Open Houses throughout the area in the hopes of finding what he was looking for.
Unfortunately the home he came to see (a water-view townhouse) SOLD out from under him, but he really liked how Patty and I knew a lot about VA Loans and he felt comfortable enough to hire us to help him attain his goal. His goal.

Westridge Subdivision is one of my favorite subdivisions to sell homes. Why? Because I live there,I am a homeowner, neighbor and I am passionate about the community and what it has to offer.
Westridge Subdivision is a mixed use community of detached homes, town houses and condo's. The community has it's own Elementary School and two community pools a club house that residents can rent out for a nominal fee for large parties or events.

It was back in May 2011 that Erick Blackwelder ( my partner) was showing homes to one of clients. They had been looking for just the right home. They found several that they liked.
House #1:
This is a home they bid on, and they lost. The buyers wanted most of their closing costs paid for and another buyer did not. The buyer that won this bid offered at least $10,000 more than list and did not ask for any closing costs.
Lesson #1: put your best foot forward when making an offer on a Foreclosed Home.
