One of the rules I live by is 'trust your gut'. If you don't feel like your real estate agent is looking out for your interests, they probably aren't. When you are purchasing real estate, your agent should make sure you are informed about all the different types of inspections relevant to the property your are purchasing. You owe it to yourself to hire an agent that is more interested in you, than the fee they are going to collect at closing.
