atlanta relocation: Where Is the Best City for Engineering Jobs -- Atlanta - 10/27/15 04:44 AM
I remember my Montana State college roommates....they were all in engineering of some sort...mechanical, electrical, structural...something engineering. I was not smart enough for that. But I do live in a city where they also come from with an incredible engineering school...Georgia Tech! But little did I know that.....

So where are people moving to? Especially one-way moves? It would appear that one study would indicate that Atlanta Is the Top Destination for Moving!
In a story that appeared in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Penske Truck Rental said that Atlanta had continued as the Number One destination for U.S. movers in their annual report. Penske created this list based on requests for one-way moves in 2013.

atlanta relocation: MARTA Eyes Major Expansion on 400 North - 09/04/13 10:12 PM
Having just been in and around Atlanta today conducting real estate business, there is that seven-letter word that comes to mind...traffic.
It's pretty hard to escape it in Atlanta. A major metropolitan area that has seen absolutely NO transit construction in some 13 years, and hardy any highway construction to help with our long standing love affair with our automobiles. Mind you, that love affair is caused by our urban sprawl and the need to get from Point A to Point B. And not any other options that the car.
But could that be about to change?

atlanta relocation: The Reasons People Moved in 2012 - 01/12/13 08:14 PM
Everybody moves in one way or another.
You move when you walk. But the kind of move I'm talking about is the place you call home. Some people will move more than others. It could be out of need, or they simply have the "ability" to move. Ability could mean they have equity in their home, a job transfer with some relocation benefits, who knows?
The Reasons People Moved in 2012 But moving is a big deal. Whether by necessity or by choice. Whether it's across the street, across town, or across the state, it's a big deal. Besides packing, and … (47 comments)

Welcome To Atlanta, Georgia! Now Where The Heck Is....?
For those of you that have never visited Atlanta, or have just moved here, our almost unchecked urban sprawl is the result of no natural boundaries to stop it from growing! atlanta relocation: The Face Of Sales In Midtown Atlanta Condominiums - 01/09/09 03:56 PM
My good friend, Margaret Woda from Marylandinspired me (or gave me the idea) to follow her lead and talk about the SALES that happened in the past year. Her recent blog about Put A Face On Homes That Sold in 2008 did give us some food for thought about what happened in the market.

So, let's take a look at some of the major condominium buildings in Midtown Atlanta and see what their sales were for 2008. (And we'll take a peak behind the curtain called 2007 to compare how sales fared this past year.)
