Did you know it's NATIONAL TEDDY BEAR DAY Sept. 9? On September 9th, National Teddy Bear Day honors the history of one of childhood’s favorite toys.
Many people can recall a special cuddly stuffed teddy bear as a child. Some still have those teddy bears from childhood. 
In 1902, American President Theodore Roosevelt refused to shoot a bear cub while hunting in Mississippi. This incident made national news.
