The fair only lasts for a week and comes but once a year. On Monday the rides were all down and the fair was returning back to its normal state of quiet. This weekend, children were once again playing soccer on the fields that are home to the San-Lee soccer league. I am already looking forward to next year - see you at the fair.

The concession stand offers the old favorites - candy, popcorn, and soda. They also offer pizza, nachos, soft pretzels, gourmet coffee, icees, hamburgers, hot dogs, dippin' dots ice cream, and lots of other good stuff. We don't drive to Cary for the movies anymore!

These are some of my favorite late spring flowers. If you are looking to buy flowers in the Sanford area you can find a good selection at Lowe's. If you are really looking to buy something special, though, I would recommend driving out to Big Bloomer's Flower Farm just south of town. They have acres and acres of every kind of perennial you can imagine. They have a whole greenhouse of hostas, a whole greenhouse of daylillies, another greenhouse of ferns, and on and on.
