Pizza for dinner at home

Chef Dolores was shopping at our local Aldi grocery store after having lunch with a friend. She decided to pick up a pizza for our dinner at home. She made a great selection.
We had a Mama Cozzi's Pizza Kitchen Rising Crust Supreme Pizza with sausage, pepperoni, peppers, block olives an onions. Give it a try!
My beverage selection was Colossal Seven, 7th Anniversary Scotch Ale from Port City Brewing Co. in Alexandria, Virginia. 8% Alc. by Vol. Another good selection.

Happiness Project in Kentlands: Hand Painted Stones

Many Kentlands residents have found hand painted stones on their porches or steps. The stones and notes are  part of the Happiness Project by our neighbor Sheena Saydam. The stones are painted by young people in the community.
Based on comments on Nextdoor Kentlands, this project has been a great success. A little stone can have such a positive impact on residents of our community. We have received three of the stones at our home and they will be good reminders to be happy every day and of the kindness of our neighbors.

One of the pleasures of visiting Colonial Williamsburg during the holiday season is seeing all of the decorations in natural materials.  Those that enjoy making their own decorations will be inspired by the traditional themes that always delight the eyes in this unique setting.
Dolores and I try to visit Colonial Williamsburg several times each year with cameras in hand. Dolores always wants to visit the colonial kitchen at the Palace and the Benjamin Powell house to get ideas for traditional recipes.
