CNBC News reported this morning that mortgage rates have sunk to historic lows. This is due in part to the European debt crisis. Treasury bond yields are being pushed down, which in turn affects mortgage rates. The buyer tax credit may be gone, but the low rates could save buyers even more in the long run. Bankrate reported that "the average rate for a 30 year fixed loan is 4.87 percent." This is for homes within the conforming loan limit or under $417,000. A loan within the conforming loan limits will buy a lot of house in the Ahwatukee, Chandler, Gilbert, (2 comments)
