Shop Till You Drop! Wall To Wall Shoppers! Tis the season to buy gifts for friends and family. I have been a loyal Nordstrom shopper since the 1970's. In Southern California, there were many stores I could shop. My favorite mall was South Coast Plaza and of course Nordstrom. I would get an invitation every year for a "special evening" where Nordstrom would celebrate it's loyal customers. No Brick and Mortar In Sedona Living in Sedona, I do all my shopping on line, a few times a year, I drive the Scottsdale and shop at Fashion Square. Arizona Biltmore Gingerbread House & Train Display A Short "Christmassy" Video Tuesday - I had a chance to visit the Arizona Biltmore. It was a very pleasant 74º down in Phoenix. Only south Florida was warmer! I will share some additional pictures of this unique architecture inspired by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright in a later post. The architect of record is Albert Chase McArthur but F. L. Wright consulted on the project for four months in 1928. McArthur was a student and protegee of Wright.

It's Peak! These were the words uttered by my husband every December. After 36 peak seasons, he remembers it fondly. Today UPS will deliver 36 million packages to customers all over the USA. FedEx will deliver another 14 million for a total of 50 million packages! Amazing... My husband worked in just about every operation and department in UPS.
All I remember was one tired husband who left at 5 am and did not return until 8 or 9 PM every day...(no matter what his position was). Later in his 36 year career, the last two weeks before Christmas, the family didn't see him. (0 comments)
We don't get a lot of snow in Sedona but when we do, the back drop is so beautiful. It always looks like a picture on a Christmas card. I have actually used some of our photography for cards.
My Christmas Wish is to see snow falling on Christmas. We have never experienced a "White Christmas" and it would be like something out of a movie to get snow.
The latest weather report shows that we will have a front coming through on Christmas and there is a chance it could bring snow.
