Tonight I enjoyed an evening of laughter and good food, with clients and family at Braindead Brewing in Deep Ellum. If you have not tried this brewpub I recommend checking it out the next time you're in the area.
This casual restaurant has an industrial feel. Guests sit on benches at wood tables that can easily be reconfigured for larger parties. Due to all the hard surfaces in the restaurant, noise was a bit of an issue. This is a great restaurant for a fun evening with friends and not so great if you are discussing a business issue.

Tonight I was lucky to enjoy dinner and music at Nova, a "gastropub," located in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. The term gastropub was coined in England from the two words gastronomy and pub. In general, less emphasis is placed on food in a "gastropub." The trendy restaurant is well known for its selection of boutique beers. Tonight I sampled Pimm's Cup, which was a gin based drink that was a delicious blend of spice and fruits. Nova redefines the term "gastropub," with its creative and delicious menu.
