Rain in Baltimore did NOT deter Active Rainers.Yesterday, Saturday February 5th 2011, sandwiched in between new Buyers in Elkridge and a military family relocating to the area and wanting to purchase in Ellicott City, I had the incredible pleasure of joining a hearty bunch of people from Active Rain for Lunch at The Suburban House on Reisterstown Road in Baltimore. Margaret Rome's Active Rain/ Realtor Magazine Open House at 2716 Spring Hill Road Greenspring Valley - Owings Mills was today between 1pm and 3pm and I planned to be there. I anticipated seeing some big hitter Bloggers that were expected to attend and could not make it to dinner last night. Even the best laid plans do not always go to schedule. My 10am clients in Bowie were an hour late. Who goes to the MVA (DMV to EVERY other person outside Maryland) on a Monday morning and expects to not have to wait? Progress with the showings were slow. Margaret Rome invited me to dinner tonight as a prelude to her OPEN HOUSE tomorrow. She enticed me and 10 others Active Rainers with the promise of Maryland CRAB CAKES at the Olive Branch Restaurant in Pikesville, Maryland. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED.
This is the quintessential Maryland crab cake. Tons of delicious crab meat and very little filler. YES, the plate was a regular dinner plate. The side dish was on a separate plate as this was so big. This evening, if all goes to plan with my busy day, I am heading out to be part of the "First Active Rain Open House".
